Syria made Simple

by our South Bank correspondent, Tomas Colwalski

Syria – or another fine mess they got us into:

President Assad (who is bad) is a nasty guy who got so nasty that his people rebelled and the Rebels (who are good) started winning.

But then some of the rebels turned a bit nasty and are now called Islamic State (who are definitely bad)
and some continued to support democracy (who are still good).

So the Americans (who are good) started bombing Islamic State (who are bad) and giving arms to the Syrian Rebels (who are good)
so they could fight Assad (who is still bad); which was good.

By the way, there is a breakaway state in the north run by the Kurds who want to fight IS (which is a good thing)
but the Turkish authorities think they are bad, so we have to say they are bad
whilst secretly thinking they’re good and giving them guns to fight IS (which is good) but that is another matter.

Getting back to Syria. President Putin (bad, as he invaded Crimea and the Ukraine…

IMG_2008…and killed lots of folks including that nice Russian man in London with polonium) has decided to back Assad (who is still bad)
by attacking IS (who are also bad) which is sort of a good thing?

But Putin (still bad) thinks the Syrian Rebels (who are good) are also bad,
and so he bombs them too, much to the annoyance of the Americans (who are good)
who are busy backing and arming the rebels (who are also good).

Now Iran (who used to be bad, but now they have agreed not to build any nuclear weapons and bomb Israel are now good)
are going to provide ground troops to support Assad (still bad)
as are the Russians (bad) who now have ground troops and aircraft in Syria.

So a Coalition of Assad (still bad) Putin (extra bad) and the Iranians (good, but in a bad sort of way)
are going to attack IS (who are bad) which is a good thing,
but also the Syrian Rebels (who are good) which is bad.

Now the British (obviously good, except Corbyn who is probably bad)
and the Americans (also good) cannot attack Assad (still bad) for fear of upsetting Putin (bad) and Iran (good / bad)
and now they have to accept that Assad might not be that bad after all compared to IS (who are super bad).

So Assad (bad) is now probably good,
being better than IS (no real choice there) and since Putin and Iran are also fighting IS that may now make them good.
America (still good) will find it hard to arm a group of rebels being attacked by the Russians for fear of upsetting Mr Putin (now good)
and that mad ayatollah in Iran (also good) and so they may be forced to say that the Rebels are now bad,
or at the very least abandon them to their fate.
This will lead most of them to flee to Turkey and on to Europe or join IS (still the only constantly bad group).

To Sunni Muslims, an attack by Shia Muslims (Assad and Iran) backed by Russians will be seen as something of a Holy War,
and the ranks of IS will now be seen by the Sunnis as the only Jihadis fighting in the Holy War and hence many Muslims will now see IS as good (doh!). Sunni Muslims will also see the lack of action by Britain and America in
support of their Sunni rebel brothers as something of a betrayal (might have a point) and hence we will be seen as bad.

So now we have America (now bad)
and Britain (also bad) providing limited support to Sunni Rebels (bad)
many of whom are looking to IS (good / bad)
for support against Assad (now good)
who, along with Iran (also good)
and Putin (also, now, unbelievably, good )
are attempting to retake the country Assad used to run before all this started?

I hope that this clears it all up for you.

And in case you are missing the point. UKIP are the only political party who have consistently
for the last 10 years been pointing out the error of Blair, Brown and Call Me Dave’s mad foreign policy. The definition of mad of course remaining as “repeatedly doing the same thing and expecting different results”,

Have a great week.

Carry on 2the Right

Everybody knows and understands that George Osborne is the brains behind the current ruling Tory elite – and David Cameron the current gameShow host allowed to be in charge until the next series.

Although PiggyGate and the Daily Mirror appear to have put more pressure on the Cameron Front Bench than Her Majesty’s Official opposition have managed so far this term. Conventional thinking (eg Boy George) wants the government to move back towards the centre and pick off some of the Old Labour and SDP LibDem migrants. What is more likely however is for there to be pressure to move further to the right  and whilst currently shackled by the “in Europe not governed by Europe” cry, they will have heard Tony Blair’s post match analysis which he has repeated many times – “I wish that I had done more in the immediate aftermath of the 1997 Landslide Win”. Call me Dave hardly got a Landslide but he did confound many. And before Europe starts fracturing the current Tory togetherness, there are signs that this is the direction of travel.

Poll rating re JC amongst votersMost Tories who are going to board the UKIP ship are already aboard. So whilst Cameron hoovers up on the right, again, another opportunity presents itself for the UKIP Leadership. As recent polling shows that rather than entice old Labour supporters BACK to a leadership under firm control of the Pro-IRA duo, the net effect is ACTUALLY to encourage more traditional Labour supporters to join the cohorts who voted so strongly for Nigel’s team back in May.

Counter intuitive? Not really – with several million economic migrants queuing up to be accommodated, educated and medicated – we all know that last years 558,000 new arrivals do not wage compress in Islington and Oxfordshire.

That whatever happens university lecturers, doctors, solicitors, head teachers, bankers and the military will not have them wages under threat from the Romanians.

DailyExpress_558,000Or the Bulgarians. Or the Poles, the Spanish and the French. Not even the 20% of the “refugees” who ARE actually Syrian will reduce barristers daily charges or GPs medical insurance court witness fees.

But it will further wage compress bus drivers salaries. Factory workers, cleaners, NHS support staff. Care home staff, bricklayers and carpenters weekly take home.

This is where Farage, Reckless, Evans and Nuttall need to refocus and double their efforts.

If you set out the reasoned UKIP case and policy set, old school working class Labour supporters WILL come. They have been betrayed by the Blairites, the £100,000,000 takings of Prime Ministers Blair and Brown. Ordinary people have sussed them out. They have given themselves away once too often.

Part of this will have been on account of the shere incredulity of the Islingtonian Pretend Socialists led so ably by Hunt, Chuka, Liz, Yvette and Stella. The looks on their faces at last weekend’s Membership Count was priceless, worth the £3 affiliate fee alone! They were appalled. A party run by its 500,000 members and not the 232 elite PPE students from Oxford and Cambridge?

Their clamour for a shadow front bench that represents men and women equally – well JC’s does! It’s just that it doesn’t include any of those fakes! Well played Mr Corbyn.

Now is the time for UKIP to make further inroads into mass support being offered up by the estimated 10 million disaffected voters.

That time may last 6 months – maybe even a year. But you know what. If you do nothing – nothing happens.

Bon weekend.

Greek Fudge

As we move towards the quarterly pretence of Greek exit – or refunding package – I wonder, which choice will the unelected Faceless Eurocrats at the IMF and EU opt for this time?

Could it be the same choice that they have opted for on the last 18 visits to the Last Chance Saloon. Of course it is. This pretence at seriousness has been going on for 5 years now. Lend the Greeks even more, give them even more time not to pay!

The facts are very very simple. Greece now runs close to borrowings of 200% of its GDP – or total economic production of the entire country.

Depending upon what they choose to regard as debt, loans and treasury bills – Greece owes somewhere north of €300 billion. That’s €300,000,000,000. Approximately £420 billion in real money. Our debt to GDP ratio is around 75%. Our economy is growing. Greece’s is shrinking.

Last night they pretended to re-negotiate, re-finance, re-budget and re-align this tyoxic debt pile. In fact use any words you like – unless they involve the phrase “lend Greece more money” which appears forbidden. Because of course that is exactly what they will do.

But who are these idiots lending good money after bad?

Greek_debt_owners_2014Well it’s hard to get RIGHT to the bottom of the detail, but occasionally someone inside the EU club lets some information out. But of course officially released data is intended to re-assure and deflect from the truth. The catch-all “Eurozone” category is of course “in theory” the 19 countries daft enough of the EU28 to sign up to the Euro. Which meant 9 weren’t.

Don’t forget that we weren’t the only sensible opt-outers! Joining the UK were Sweden, Denmark, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Hungary! No Euros for us thank you.

When you scratch away beneath the veneer of “Eurozone” and lets guess at €200 billion of debt, where does it actually sit? Who are the idiots doing the lending?

GreekBanks exposure countriesWell if they told you that of course – we might all start to spot the plan that’s afoot.

Unfortunately for the plotters SkyNews gave the game away at the weekend. And now all is clear. Its not that Germany can’t afford a €90 billion write-off – it will simply go to their tax payers as per usual – but in a 24 month period leading into German AND French national elections. Well what’s 2 years further pretence? Some of this debt is apparently not due until 20150!

Greek_debt_maturities_2014It’s Italy they are actually worried about. UK banks look quasi-responsible by comparison!

So stay with the “long-grass” game, lie to German, French and Italian taxpayers about “true debt exposure”, and hope to cling onto power for another turn of the wheel.

Last night Greece agreed to €8 billion per annum of “further austerity” – but of course with interest payments per year north of €12 billion, even Labour Party economics spokespersons would realise that even this will make no difference.

The European Vanity Project has brought Greece to her knees, brought near starvation to large areas of that country and continues to pile debt onto an already bankrupt nation.

It is no longer irresponsible – it has now become immoral.

Have a great day.

Lies, damn lies & the EU

From today until the now infamous Cameron Referendum on EU membership, this blog will devote itself to picking apart the lies, media spin (mostly BBC, Independent and Guardian) surrounding the Europhiles’ case.

Unlike the BBC, the Independent, YouGov, the Conservative Party, the LibDems, the Guardian, Richard Branson et al we shall concentrate on facts. And facts that are independently verifiable.

We shall start with the biggest lie to come out of Fleet Street since the Hitler Diaries; the claim made, which Nick Clegg took to his heart during the debates that he lost in 2014 to Nigel Farage – that the UK’s exit (tabloidly referred to now as the Brexit) would cost 3,000,000 British jobs.

I shall apologise right here and now – that much of tomorrow’s blog will be repeated over the next 6, 12, 18 months – or however long David Cameron keeps us waiting.

But THIS LIE is the most dishonest of recent times perpetuated by the land of vested interests and corporate cronyism.

We shall pick it to pieces bit by bit. Untruth by untruth. Economic mislead by economic mislead.

There IS only one vote…

…and that is for a party with a fully costed manifesto for the next 5 years. And a costed manifesto that was independently validated by an independent and respected think-tank. And this manifesto and its costings has NEVER been challenged ONCE in the last 6 weeks.

UKIP is the ONLY sensible, logical vote for change. It is positive. It will enable us and our country to:

  • Invest a real, EXTRA £3 billion into the NHS every year
  • Enable students to study subjects at university, that the UK economy needs, for free on an ability-based selection method
  • Enable the abolishing of Inheritance tax forever
  • Allow workers on the minimum wage (£13,500 per annum) to pay zero income tax, keep all of their hard earned wages and thus eliminate the tax & working tax credit back nonsense
  • ensure the country maintains its 2% NATO commitment on defence spending

the list of positive reasons for change and for a UKIP vote goes on and on and on and on. Moreover we will regain control of our borders and ensure our pensioners are all comfortable in retiremenIMG_6311t. You’ll find all of this in our best ever 76 page 2015 manifesto.

you can see this at or email any members listed there who will be only too happy to send you a PDF or Hard Copy.

Read it.

See for yourself. Put it to the common sense test. And then vote UKIP. It’s the only vote that MAKES sense. And don’t forget that the only problem with common sense is that it is not that common!

thank you.

the Greatest Lie ever Sold

That leaving the EU will cost the UK jobs.

Leaving the EU will save us over £12billion pounds every year. Forever.

That’s enough money to fix the Health Service for Good – and have plenty to spare.

That’s enough money to provide free University education for Britain’s best and brightest.

That’s enough money to abolish Inheritance Tax overnight – that envy-fuelled robber of our life savings

The UK is the largest single member state market for ALL the other European countries (EU or otherwise).

We are sold more cars than we sell.

We are sold more white goods than we export.

We are the second largest net contributor into the EU. Without us, the EU budget would have to be cut by 25%

CONCLUSION. They need us more than we need them.

UKIP – we just SAY what the rest of you are THINKING.

Pollsters final guesses.

Bank Holiday Monday. 3 days to go.

Well they’re in. And true to their word – or rather their sponsors’ instructions – it’s a closely contested election.Poll-of-Polls_4 days out

Of course it’s not! It plays to the Murdoch empire on the one hand for Call Me Dave to still be in with a chance.

It plays to the EU and BBC agendas for Red Ed Miliband to still be in there pretending. 34.1% Tory versus 32.5% Labour and both of them screaming for all they are worth that their “entitlement” is greater than the other’s. The only thing staggering from the Poll of Polls is that the BBC and others have shown us as high as they have – this sugggests to this cynic that in reality we are nearer 20% and as we know where it counts – Clacton, Thanet South, Great Yarmouth, Thurrock, Heywood & Middleton its a lot greater than that!

Then votes for one of the LibLabCon. But surely we are better than that? Deserve more. Know that our vote is worth more than that, was fought for with far more imagination than that?

If you realise that the only way for TRUE CHANGE is to break with what you are being told; then vote for the Parties that are actually daying something new. That’s UKIP and the Greens in England, SNP in Scotland and UKIP in Wales & Northern Ireland.

Get the “shy UKIP” vote upto 20% and we will score a dozen seats or so at Westminster. Do what you did for Cleggmania last time out – 24% of the national vote in 2010 – and then we will represent you in parliament with well over 60 MPs.

That’s the truth of the matter. It’s within our grasp. All you have to do now is hold your nerve, and put that pencil cross in the UKIP box.

And maybe, just maybe, the world will look a better place Friday afternoon.

Happy Leafletting.

Paying 4 Policy

Tuesday evening: And the Pollsters have admitted they are all Snake Oil Salesmen.

A poll in the weekend’s Sunday Times gave Labour a 4%age point advantage – and then yesterday’s two from Lord Ashcroft and ComRes saw a 4% lead to the Tories. Mathematicians out there will know that these 2 results are mutually impossible,

ComRes_Mail_Graphic30March2015given their stated margin for error of +/- 2%. Unless of course they are prepared on NON STATISTICAL bases?!

So its official – YouGov and friends have resorted to making it up. Dusting off my O Level maths books it becomes apparent that any poll with under 7,000 randomly selected voters has no statistically sound base! But clearly  that won’t stop Peter Kellner remaining in love with his own voice – “we will bringing out daily polls” he schmoozed on the Sunday Politics.

Dear oh dear oh dear. Dear UKIP High Command. Explain to the UK what needs doing!

UKIP have the only fully costed Manifesto. All UKIP’s commitments come in at less than £20billion annually. And as readers will know we pay for that in YEAR ONE with:

  • Stop_HS2_before_out-of-controlLeaving the EU and saving over £11 billion in net membership fees
  • Abandoning the greatest single white elephant out there – HS2. At least £3 billion per year for the next 20 (TWENTY) years not wasted
  • Reducing the Foreign Aid budget so that only truly humanitarian causes remain. At least £8 billion annual saving here to be had each and every year.

And of course ALL of the above is without relying upon £1 of efficiency savings across Government Bureaucracy (LibLabCon are planning for at least £5 billion here)

Costed_plans_to_fix_2015or being able to tax the professional internet corporate tax evaders (again the LibLabCon banks on at least £5 billion here too).

No wonder the LibLabCon are laughing all the way to the ballot box. Doubled the deficit. Noone seems to care. Tripled Net Immigration – not once held to account.

Being evasive and secretive about any of their pretend deficit elimination plans. Not even Andrew Neil, Paxman or Andrew Marr see particularly bothered about holding these conmen and women to account. But then again if you were paid £1,000,000 a year by the licence funded BBC would you care?

Realistically UKIP can readily show how we can…

SAVE £40,000,000,000 at least every single year over the next 5 years

The rest are conning you. Don’t be fooled. Don’t regret your choice on May 7th.

Vote UKIP on May 7th.
And sleep easy on May 8th knowing that it was not your fault.

Real people. Real Change. Real Choices. Real UKIP.

6 Degrees of Alienation

Wednesday pm: well he’s now had 6 goes at this. And he still just does not get it. He patronises, he tells fibs, he he can actually become quite offensive.

Plattitude One. Britain Walking Tall again. No mention of record levels of immigration at 298,000 net annual inflow. What good is a reduction in your income tax, if that tax that used to get you a GP appointment, a school for your children you wanted or a sewage system that doesnt spout effluent onto your front drive – now promises none of the above? Imagine another 1,500,000 unskilled migrant workers continuing to cherry-pick the UK throughout the next parliament. Will you recognise the UK in 2020?

Fact Avoided number 2: Nigel Farage posed the not unreasonable question with regards to the Chancellor’s claim that he has “managed the public finances well”. The stark facts are these; Labour doubled the National Debt in 13 years – Boy George did the same in just 5. What part of paying interest rather than NHS wages as just plain wrong does he not get? That’s plain common sense – or in his case nonsense.

DoublingDebtIncredible to think that the Tories have a 28 point lead on their “handling of the economy”. What on earth would happen were the British People to be so daft as to give the car keys back to Red Ed and BallsUp? I find this so so scarey.

In three – bare faced Lies. Always a favourite this one with the Tories. Or put more fairly deny the negatives and answer the question you would have preferred. Example: “but you promised you would reduce immigration to the tens of thousands – no ifs or buts. But today it sits at 298,000. Why haev you not resigned?”. Answer: ” we have reduced migration from outside the EU over the parliament as we promised”. Sorry? What did you say.

Maybe its something to do with those unaffordable Etonian educations. Maybe that delusional sense of “we were born to rule over you…”. Who knows. Maybe theyre all just plain mad?

Pretence number four. Dealing with the Banks. Continuing to allow the Fat Cats most of the ceram. On the surface his increased Banking Levy of £900,000,000 sounds a little like retribution. Until you realise of course that Tax breaks and banking Chief Executives left unpunished are the price on the other side of this “tax increase” for the rich. The Chief Execs of HSBC alone would have wasted £900million of each and every one of their shareholders cash – to keep them from a courtroom and even god forbid fair justice. You can hear them now. “Well done George – we can live with that…”

FatCatsVarious institutes have come out and advised the thinking public that the extra £12billion in welfare spending cuts per annum over the next parliament is actually not only unlikley, but mathematically impossible.

As per usual of course the greatest lie of all is disguised and hidden in a 2019/2020 “promise”. When spending will the same percentage of GDP as it was at the peak of Gordon Brown’s Borrow-and-Bust econoomy on 2000.

Bribe number 5 – Help to Buy ISAs. So lets get this straight. You save £2,400 a year, and Lord Cameron tops you up a further £600. You are living in Hertfordshire. You need a 20-30% deposit to just get started. My maths suggests that that will take you between 10 and 20 years depending upon your specific housing needs. And assuming NIL house price inflation! Does anyone actually buy this garbage?

Soundbite number 6. We are “the ComeBack Country”. But hang on a second. Where have we come back from? A mess created by Labour. A debt doubled under the Old Etonian Homeguard. And an unworkable set of experimental EU business practices and madates that has basically bankrupted 8 in every 10 small businesses that existed in 2007. That’s destruction of national income and opportunity on a massive scale never before seen.

Sorry to seem somewhat negative over the smirking ruling elite’s latest script. I’m sure YouGov will knock out a poll by morning proclaiming original thinking and more lies about how fast we are growing compared to – uuh, well France and Greece.

above are justSix immediately obvious errors in Tory Logic and Right Wing media propagation.

How on earth does the LibLabCon survive? Search me. Vote UKIP.

Give our country a fighting chance.

Just Suppose

Tuesday: Just suppose that they have all got this totally wrong. That this vanity project no doubt conceived with the best of intentions – prevent war, avoid starvation, tackling crime – has simply run off the rails.

Greek_debt_2Just suppose the Greeks continue to demand bailouts and that the German people one day have had enough?

That they recognise that the EU for all its promises has now become the very cause of the problems it once pupported to prevent.

Junker balloonSuppose voters see Mr Juncker for what he is?

Just suppose that 28 countries inabilities to manage their own and co-joined affairs to the betterment of all and not the pivileged elite has been spotted by the many millions of voters across the EU?

Just suppose that everyone who voted for UKIP last May were to do the same this time? Forget about the arguments about this coalition or that coalition or SNP controlling Red Ed or Saint Nick clinging onto his political trappings by his finger nails.

DC_£53millionJust suppose that Labour voters abandon the Islington Socialist and fail to support Red Ed in Doncaster North?

Just suppose the students of Sheffield Hallam truly do not forgive and forget Mr Cleggs abandoned promises over £9,000 per annum tuition fees.

Just suppose we all wake up. Realise UKIP is better for students. Better for retired folk. Better for ex Service Men and Women. Better for every class across the nation?

Just suppose that we repeat the 30% poll return of the Euros this time round at a General election? Wouldnt you like to be part of a political earthquake?

Just do it People!
